For photographers new to underwater model photography, mastering how to archieve great results on their own can be a challenge. From researching and experimenting with camera settings and light set-ups, organising numerous test shootings, locations, models and potentially gear and safety divers to practice, to getting familiar with post production… All these steps are time and energy consuming while you might still not obtain the results you were hoping for after countless shootings. Moreover, safety comes first! Therefore, when you are starting to shoot in the water, it is necessary to become knowledgeable about safety requirements, especially if you´re shooting with inexperienced models.
If you are planning on offering uw shootings for clients in the future, developing the skills required to consistently deliver high quality images and building an impressive portfolio may take a lot longer then you anticipate.

Dive into the world of underwater model photograpy under the guidance of an award winning underwater photographer. Enrolling in this workshop, you will benefit from years of professional experience and know-how to speed up your learning curve. It will further help you to avoid common and costly mistakes and drastically improve your uw photograpy and post production skills. Assimilate the complex workflow – from planning your shootings to editing your final images – during the theory classes. To practice and consolidate what you have learnt, you will be shooting with experienced, professional underwater models in different locations and settings. During these shootings, you will be individually supervised and guided on how you can streamline your performance to enhance your results.
This four day workshop provides you with valuable information to incorporate into your personal workflow while at the same time allowing you to start / expand your portfolio with incredible images. After this worksphop, you will be able to organise safe and creative underwater photography shootings with models and clients in the ocean.
The Underwater Model Workshop is suitable for divers only and focuses on underwater model photography in the ocean. The aim of this workshop is to teach you to record high-quality underwater masterpieces of female models in the sea. Therefore, every aspect of underwater photography including composition, camera and light set ups, preparation, organisation, safety precautions and post-production will be adressed in depth.
Location: In cooperation with Action Sport we offer this special underwater photography workshop for the first time in Al-Qusair, Egypt. Fantastic coral reefs and warm water temperatures offer excellent conditions for this workshop. We will use Roots Luxury Camp as our base and look forward to the hospitality of this diving camp and it´s mesmerising reefs.
To provide maximal results through close up mentoring, the number of participants for this workshop is limited to 7. The minimum number of participants for the workshop is 4 participants.

The Red Sea and the area around al-Quseir offer different, yet just as ideal possibilities, marine wildlife and corals. As the workshop is taking place here for the first time, we do not yet feature sample underwater model images from this specific area.
The four day workshop includes three theory sessions, three image editing sessions, one swimming pool shooting and six underwater shootings with models in the ocean. Throughout the course, you will recieve individual support and personal instructions.
We have planned extraordinary photo shootings that are difficult to organize by yourself. Everyone will be able to enrich their portfolio with masterpieces for their own advertising.

The course is held in English and German. We are expecting an international field of participants.
At the workshop, we will pay sufficient attention to the appropriate safety distance and work according to a hygiene concept. Current travel and security advice can be found on the website of the Auswärtigen Amtes. If official regulations impend the workshop from taking place, we will refund the payments made.
In general, participants can cancel the workshop free of charge without giving reasons up to 4 weeks in advance.
