This workshop is designed to help you improve your above and underwater photography skills. Your instructor will teach you everything you need to know in order to create incredible pictures in all different kinds settings. You will learn how to plan and execute photo professional above and underwater shootings and how to edit your images to create unique pieces of art. This workshop includes nine photo shootings, four classroom sessions and 5 photo editing lessons.
During lingerie and fine art nude photo shootings on land with our models your instructor will teach you how to compose beautiful and sensual images. You will learn how to instruct experienced and inexperienced models in an effective and respectful way.
Photographers new to the art of underwater photography will learn under expert guidance how to create incredible images of models underwater. In swimming pool sessions you will be introduced to the basics of taking pictures underwater. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and shoot with an experienced underwater model in the open ocean. Our picturesque locations in shallow depths offer volcanic rock formations, mesmerising corals and schools of fish. For these first underwater shootings you will be using snorkeling equipment. Therefore, also participants without diving certification can learn here how to take exceptional pictures in swimming pools and the ocean in a safe and relaxed way.
Additionally, photographers with a diving certificate (minimum 30 dives and recent medical certificate) will be able to further develop their skills and create mesmerising images with our underwater model at two deeper dive sites: the US Liberty ship wreck and the underwater temple. The underwater model is a certified and experienced diver. During the shootings she will be supplied with air by two assistant divers. These divers are responsible to ensure the models safety underwater. We will provide you with valuable information on how to plan and safely execute your own underwater shootings with models in the future. We will also focus on special target groups for underwater photography (maternity, couples,…) and the specifics you need to know during these shoots.
In this workshop you will create spectacular, one of a kind images that will help you to expand your portfolio in order to attract paying customers. For a single photographer it can be challenging to set up an underwater shooting in the open ocean. This is due to the extensive organisation, from equipment to safety divers, the training of the models before the shoot and safety procedures underwater. Therefore, this workshop gives you the opportunity to not just learn everything you need to know under supervision and guidance of a professional underwater photographer but also offers three open ocean shootings.
The workshop languages will be English and German. It is suitable for amateur, aspiring professional and professional photographers of all levels. A Diving Certificate is not necessary but recommended as three of the nine photo shootings require the use of scuba gear. Participants without scuba certification can do two alternative photo shooting on land.
The workshop will take place from 22.07.2019 to 26.07.2019. Changes in the program are possible.

In order to secure your spot we ask you for a deposit of 640€. The workshop requires a minimum of four participants. The maximum number of participants is six. Payment and organization is made by the Ocean Sun Resort in Tulamben.
